Landing Service Across Campus

An AcTIVE and COMMITTED UNIVERSITY

Washington University's students readily understand the importance of civic engagement.  By conservative estimates, 57% of undergraduates report involvement in community service.  With the inclusion of graduate and professional students, this commitment translates to more than 200,000 hours a year devoted to volunteer efforts.

Our faculty also collaborates with communities to make advances in public health, the environment, development, and more.  Our professors offer at least 40 courses engaging students in community-based teaching and learning, and the list continues to grow.

Numerous departments, groups, and individuals across the University help make service a priority.  If you would like to be linked below, please contact gephardtinstitute@wustl.edu.
